Picha vacha Naal
I heard a new Malayalam song very recently - "Picha Vacha Naal Muthal" from the movie Puthiya Mukham. A Prithiviraj, Meera Nandan starrer, the movie is directed by Deepan, and the music by Deepak Dev. Somehow I found the song to be an intriguing one. Finally today morning I had an opportunity to listen to the full song. It has that same pace throughout and you feel that you are at the beginning of the song all through the way. 
The song sounds fresh and is capable of creating a mood. The lyrics by Kaithapuram are also good. Not to complex. You can easily grasp it if you listen once. after 3 year deepak dev is giving music to a film.he was missing after giving very good music (dont know reason), some of his songs were outstanding(Panimathiye punaru) but film was flop, because of that went unnoticed.

This was the first song i heard stepping into ma car when dad came to pick me up at the station on ma trip to ma hometown over last weekend..!! and all this was welcomed by rain, could really think of better place and time to hear this.... amazing lyrics and beautifully sung..... :)

Just wish it had been sung by somebody who knows the language. First heard this song on Asianet being hummed by Sudarshan (of Idea Star fame), without any orchestration - and simply loved it. Then heard the original by Shankar Mahadevan, and was really disappointed by the rendering. Beautiful beautiful melody, superbly simple lyrics, both butchered by a singer who does not know the language.
